ABOUT THE NFTs

15,000 unique NFTs will soon be made available from our chosen NFT platform.  We are about to start discussions with several platforms and will have chosen one when we mint shortly.  Watch this space for details.

Included in the NFT Gallery below are just a few of the 15,000 different NFTs that are available.  The prices, listed in dollars, are representative examples which may vary at the time of minting according to the values of crypto currency at the time.

The elephants have requested that we make their NFTs available to all.  Some of the regular issue NFTs are priced as low as $20.00.  Many will be made available at auction.

The rarities are priced according to the number of NFTs minted in the category compared to the total mintage of 15,000.
Details on every category of EHEW NFT minted are available below on the EHEW NFT Registry.  Every different category of EHEW NFT is represented on the registry, listing their rarity factors and distinguishing details.

Elephants are known through many cultures as bringers of good luck and increased auspiciousness in all aspects of life.  A portrait of an elephant that one sees regularly - such as a large picture,  painting or an NFT portrait hanging on your living room wall - is believed to induce happiness and reduce stress. 

Check out our program to convert your NFT into a large print suitable for framing or a resin-coated piece of art for wall display.  The elephants’ NFT wall art is signed, numbered, and comes with a physical Certificate of Authenticity tying your art to the blockchain and your NFT. Will a beautiful piece of NFT elephant art to hang on your wall increase the overall value of your NFT? The elephants think so!

(Note that when a print is issued it is forever tied to the NFT, will be noted as such on the website, and must be sold with the NFT if the NFT is to be sold.)

Please note that it is necessary to post the NFTs to the websites at a lower resolution so that the site does not take forever to load on slower computers and phones. Your NFT art will be printed at the highest resolution possible for your display art.

All of the EHEW NFTs are made from photographic art licensed to EHEW by the original photographers.

BLIND CHANCE RARITIES
And, speaking of good luck and our giant friends, the elephants want to add some fun for those who buy their NFTs. 150 NFTs have been chosen at random out of the total 15,000.  These are kept secret to all until one of the selected NFTs is purchased.  Then the lucky number will be published here on the EHEW NFT Registry, forever designating that particular NFT as a “1%” rarity.

If the lucky number chosen is already designated as a rarity - 3 footprints or a Forest Block or Savanna Block, for example - that will further heighten the “specialness” of that individual NFT.  Rest assured that every Blind Chance Rarity number has already been determined and will be sold through the chosen platforms; none will be held back for insiders.

An announcement will be made here whenever a Blind Chance Rarity is purchased.  The Blind Chance Rarities will be prominently listed on the Registry and maintained forever thereon.

HOW TO BUY YOUR NFT
No NFTs are actually sold through this website or in person or through stores.  All NFTs must be purchased through the platform.

THE EHEW WHITELIST
You may write to us at nfts@ehew.org. to request individual numbers or a series of numbers or similar artworks.  You will be notified of the exact time of minting and you will be able to purchase directly through the platform at mint prices. You may also request a specific NFT from the samples presented here in the NFT gallery.

WHY BUY AN NFT FROM THE ELEPHANTS?
Because it is very likely a win-win for all involved.  Every cent from 12,000 of the NFTs goes directly to elephant sanctuaries and rescue projects.  And if the elephants’ NFTs appreciate like their jungle friends the Bored Apes just did, you get the satisfaction of helping save our giant friends while making an investment with substantial upside potential by buying your NFT directly from the elephants at mint prices. Doing well while doing good.

SPECIAL NFTs FOR SPECIAL PURPOSES
NFTs #1-#500 are designated as low number NFTs. Some of these NFTs are for presentation or for reserved for special projects and contributors.  Certain NFTs are designated for certain tasks. 

For example, NFT #15 is $150,000 and includes a trip for two to fly to Thailand, visit Mahouts Elephant Foundation and spend a week in their LIFE (Living in the Forest with Elephants) program. They will live with the local Karen indigenous people who have cared for elephants for millennia, eating their cuisine and learning their culture and crafts. And, most importantly, visiting with and observing the elephants in their natural habitat. At the elephants’ request, we are working to structure this trip with one of the outdoor expedition TV shows to feature Mahouts Elephant Foundation’s model for preserving elephants, and enlighten the world as to the dire need to save our giant friends.  All funds after the costs of the trip are designated for Mahouts Elephant Foundation. 

NFT #45 - #49 from $50,000-$100,000. Name That Elephant. Yes, you get to name a rescued elephant. While most captive elephants already have a name that they respond to, a second western name may be given to the elephant by the rescuer purchasing the NFT for the elephant’s new life circumstances. In addition, others of these NFTs are designated for the appropriate purchase,  release, and lifetime care for an elephant in need of retirement. 

As explained elsewhere in this website, care, experience and knowledge are necessary to purchase elephants in a way that does not lead to exploitation or unintended consequences. Monies from these particular NFTs will be held in a fund by Sarah at Mahouts Elephant Foundation for purchase and re-homing elephants when appropriate opportunities arise.

NFT #17 - $100,000 Construction Fund NFT.

Construction of additional facilities is always necessary at the sanctuaries. Funds from these NFTs will be used to construct shelters, enclosures, observation benches, hospital pens, etc.  A high-quality brass plaque will be purchased from the proceeds of these NFTs and placed prominently on the improvement, forever honoring the purchaser of the NFT as a lifelong friend of the elephants. 

Additional “special purpose” low-number NFTs may be designated from EHEW NFTs #1-#500 as specific needs and opportunities arise.

DISPLAY YOUR ELEPHANT NFT AS WALL ART

There has been many a story in the media lately that can be summed up by: “So you bought some fancy NFT art and it’s just a picture of a cartoon on a computer? Nothing I can hang on the wall in the living room? Really?”

Display your elephant art NFT with pride. Increase the value and collectibility of your NFT. Order a signed and numbered print of your NFT on archival paper, suitable for framing, with a Certificate of Authenticity tying your print to the blockchain. (Only sold to the purchaser or current owner of the NFT and if resold the artwork must accompany the NFT.)

Or, order a laminated, rigid, signed and numbered epoxy-clear-coated print of your NFT suitable for hanging without a frame. Wipes clean with a damp sponge. Lasts forever.

The elephants have authorized Jessie Hoye Fine Art Studios to produce your NFT wall art.   EHEW.org will transfer the printable digital art to the studio, who will ship your printed art within 14 days of receipt of payment.

DESCRIPTIONS AND REGISTRY OF NFTS
Following is a table providing a general description of each of the different categories of EHEW NFTs.  Every NFT category is described.  While there is some variety in pricing throughout each category, the prices remain similar throughout the category.

There are 12,000 total NFTs designated as “Regular Issue.” These are broken down into five categories, designated E-1 to E-5, based on minting price. There are 10,000 NFTs in category E-3. 67% of all NFTs have this rarity. Categories E-1, E-2, E-4, and E-5 each contain 500 NFTs. 3.3% have this rarity.

NFTs designated E-1 ($20.00) are limited to one per order, and three per investor.

Note that the prices in the gallery are listed in US dollars. Depending on the platform chosen to broker the NFTs, prices will likely be listed in both dollars and crypto, and will represent current value at the time of minting.
